Bath Street Project

This project was a residential apartment complex requiring essential roofing and structural upgrades while preserving its historic integrity due to its conservation status in Glasgow City Centre completed from April 2023- November 2023.

This project was secured through a competitive tendering process, with Roofing Advisors selected for their extensive experience in heritage roofing and conservation projects. As the building holds a conservation classification, the project was partly funded, requiring meticulous planning and strict adherence to heritage guidelines to ensure compliance with preservation standards.

Services Provided

The scope of work included:

• Full strip and re-slate of the roof.
• Complete leadwork upgrade
• Timber rot repairs
• Chimney refurbishment and upgrading

Materials & Key Partnerships

• Cupa H3 Spanish Slates – A high-quality natural slate, chosen for its durability and ability to match the building’s original aesthetic.
• Code 5-8 Sheet Lead – Ensuring long-lasting weather protection and compliance with conservation regulations.
• Lithomex Render – Applied to the chimneys for a durable, breathable, and historically appropriate finish.

Project Outcome

The project was successfully completed on time and to the highest standard, ensuring the new roofing system was visually in keeping with its historic surroundings. The use of premium materials and expert craftsmanship has significantly enhanced the longevity of the structure, providing a long-term roofing solution for the residents.
