Bituminous felt roofing, is a glass fiber or polyester membrane constructed with a bituminous layer within. This felt membrane typically consists of two or three layers, creating a durable, waterproof and cost-effective solution.

Bituminous felt roofing is an established method which has been used in the UK for over 50 years. Traditionally heat was required to bond the membranes to the roof surface, however in recent years there have been many innovations, including a polymer modified technology. This innovation allows a cold application with the same excellent performance levels of the torch-on option. This can be particularly beneficial for clients with heat restrictions in their insurance contracts, or hazardous environments where heat is problematic.

Roofing Advisors are fully qualified in both cold and heat applications of this system, providing choice and reliability for our customers.
